Orthopedics
The mission of the department is to provide exemplary total care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders or injuries.
Members of the Department of Orthopedics have extensive experience in the management of patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic skeletal problems, avascular necrosis, and the musculoskeletal manifestations of renal disease.
On an in-patient and out-patient basis, core services of the department include:
The department strives to embrace a multidisciplinary team approach. Department staff members work in collaboration with medical staff including general internists, hematologists, and other internists with other subspecialties as well as with other surgical staff.
Other important components of the broader multidisciplinary team also includes close collaboration with health care professionals including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, orthopedic technologists, and other various nursing sectors of the hospital.
